The Room That Keeps a Secret
By day, this is a guest room: a paneled corner, a lit niche, a bench under the eaves. Then the lid lifts — and a Japanese soaking tub appears, floating over a bed of river stones. The vanity slides out of the wall. The shower hides behind a door. And the faucet? The faucet is a concealed fountain.
Adam designed every piece of it — then built every piece of it. The spout housings are carved from solid wood with copper and brass inside. Swipe through the reveal:

Every project begins as a drawing you can walk through. Adam models your space in 3D — down to the notch in a side panel — so you see the built-ins, the desk, the room before a single board is cut. Then he builds exactly that. Here’s a desk as it was designed, and the desk as it stands: reclaimed wood, dovetailed drawers, steel straps.

Adam Grant
Adam Grant trained at Cooper Union and has spent 20+ years building — houses and additions, kitchens and basements, furniture and hidden rooms. He mills his own lumber when a project calls for it. When he’s not building for clients, he builds for the community, working with Isles in Trenton on making the city better, one house at a time.
